We are pleased to announce the opening of a new, free-access exhibition space at the La Mure station, thanks to the support of the Musée Matheysin. Here, you will find a collection of historical photographs and informative panels about the history of the Matheysine region and the Petit Train de La Mure.
The history of the Petit Train de La Mure began in 1888. Initially a mining line, it was the first electrified line in the world, transporting anthracite from the Matheysine plateau mines to Grenoble. Today, it has become a tourist attraction, preserving the memory of this rich past.
